Vatsalyagram – Barmer

Situated in south-west Rajasthan, Barmeris the potpourri of language, ethnicity and attire. What one fails to realise is that despite of having a rich heritage and culture, access to education is still a distant dream.

The focus of our project in Barmeris to educate, ignite and empower the children – break the silence and be assertive. The curriculum is greatly flexible to take into account the local environment and local needs of the community, and various celebrations and activities are carried out taking it into consideration. Currently more than 30 children are receiving education and residential set up for girls is provided.
